Amy Lighthall is a self-made artist based out of the beautiful Pacific Northwest, who’s been passionate about creative endeavors and DIYs throughout her life. She was able to dive into her passion when her youngest son started kindergarten, and she’s been making beautiful art out of her home studio ever since.
Everywhere she goes she finds beauty, from hiking in the mountains to meandering through her local mall, and she incorporates this appreciation for the inspiration all around her into her art. She loves to play with bright colors and interesting shapes, and her aesthetic is inspired by Modern Mid Century and abstract styles of painting.
Amy creates her art in layers, adding different textures, colors, light and contrast to communicate feeling through her work. She’s skilled both with a paintbrush and a computer, as her process typically combines scans of her painted pieces with additional layers that she creates in photoshop.
